About the Alzheimer’s Support Group Facilitators:
Randy East started his Alzheimer’s journey when his grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease at 65 years old. As her primary caregiver in his late teens, Randy did not know where to turn for support and information. Today, Randy’s mission is to make sure other caregivers are given the tools, support and education to use in their own experiences.
Linda Hadley has been involved with the Alzheimer’s Association, National Capital Area Chapter as an employee and volunteer since 1998. In addition to her experiences of helping to care for her mother and grandmother who both died from Alzheimer’s, Linda is currently caring for her aunt who was diagnosed in 2002. Linda believes that education and the ability to share experiences and knowledge help families navigate through the pain of Alzheimer’s.
